About Us

Wrenoin · Since 1986

Born in a remote American town. Built by calloused hands.

In 1986, in the quiet heart of America, there was a small, remote town where winter always arrived earlier than expected. The cold cut through the air, snow piled high outside every home, and warmth became something people cherished deeply.
It was in this isolated place that a group of humble women began knitting the very first Wrenoin sweaters—using their weathered, calloused, hardworking hands.

There were no factories, no assembly lines—just a few old wooden looms, the warmth of a wood-burning stove, and a shared desire to create something that could bring comfort during the harshest months.
Each sweater took days to complete. Fingers were pricked by needles, hands ached from repetition, and the quiet sound of late-night knitting became the soundtrack of Wrenoin’s earliest years.

1986–1995 · The Hard Beginnings of Handcrafting

During those early days, resources were limited, and Merino wool was precious.
Women in the town often drove miles to nearby ranches to source wool, then cleaned it by hand, spun it by hand, and knitted every stitch entirely by hand.

They knitted while caring for their children in dimly lit living rooms.
They knitted even when heavy snow nearly collapsed rooftops.
They knitted through wrist pain, cracked fingertips, and long winter nights—never once stopping.

It was through this hardship and persistence that Wrenoin quietly grew.

1996–2005 · From a Small Town to More Homes

As word spread, people outside the town began discovering Wrenoin.

Customers would say:
“Your sweaters feel like they carry someone’s warmth.”
“These stitches are different—softer, warmer, more human.”

That’s when we realized something important:
Warmth is more than temperature. It’s a feeling passed from the hands of an artisan to the person who wears it.

Wrenoin slowly made its way into holiday markets and winter fairs across nearby cities. Even as orders increased, we stayed loyal to what mattered most:

  • No assembly lines

  • No shortcuts in craftsmanship

  • No cheap yarn

Every piece was still made by hand.

2006–2015 · Challenges in a Changing World

As the world sped up and industrial production swept across America, many people asked us:

“Why not build a factory?”
“Why not go into fast fashion?”
“Handmade is too slow—and too expensive.”

But Wrenoin never changed course.

We knew it was those scarred, hardworking hands that made us different.
We knew that the “slow” process was exactly what gave our clothes true winter warmth.

We faced rising material costs, limited hand-knit capacity, and economic pressure—
but we stayed committed:

Quality over speed.
Warmth over trends.

2016–2024 · Heritage, Innovation, and Renewal

A new generation of young artisans joined us—carrying respect for traditional handcraft while bringing fresh creativity. They learned the techniques passed down from earlier knitters and infused new ideas into classic patterns.

During this period, we focused on:

  • High-quality Merino wool

  • Sustainable and responsible sourcing

  • Preserving the handcraft traditions of 1986

  • Blending in Christmas, Nordic, and Viking-inspired design elements

Wrenoin became more than a clothing brand.
It became a culture, a warmth, and a craft passed down from generation to generation.

Today · The Spirit of Wrenoin Remains Unchanged

Decades have passed. Technology has transformed the world.
But our core remains the same:

**No factory. No mass production.

Only hands, needles, and heart.**

Every Wrenoin sweater is a journey:

From ranch to yarn,
from needle to pattern,
from the calloused hands of an artisan to the warmth of your winter.

We come from a remote American town in 1986—
and we have carried that same resilience, simplicity, honesty, and warmth into everything we create today.
